Run Free Jubilee -- Beer Bug Edition

New dates due to the lockdown: May 10 to June 6

Due to the ‘’Beer-bug’’ (Coronavirus) measures in place, *Run Free* is being organised in a different format this year: runners can complete one of two different self-supported courses (11km or 21 km), any time between May 10 and June 6, 2021, by following the route from the provided .gpx file (preferably by GPS watch) upon registration.

Runners are requested to abide by the Covid regulations that are in place at the time they do their run (either solo or in small groups, depending on the rules).

The 21km distance is awaiting evaluation by the International Trail Running Association and is expected to be awarded 1 ITRA point.

This race format is based on the ITRA's rules for trail races in these social-distancing times, which it makes it possible for runners to earn points.

How it works:

1. Register here:

2. On registration, runners will receive the GPX file of the course by e-mail, as well as a description of the route and information you need to pay attention to.

3. Pay entry fee on the day you run: 10€

Take note:

-- This is NOT a virtual event. Runners MUST cover the actual race course.

-- To qualify for ITRA points, runners must track their run on a GPS device and send us their .gpx file by e-mail. The track should include the Total Net time (including breaks in between), not only running time.

-- After June 6, we will compile an official list of results and submit it to ITRA.

Bonus:

On May 29 and 30 there will be limited markings on the trails as well as DIY checkpoints.

This event is being organised by our Troodos representative, 'Mountain Man' Andraz Renko.
